The story

A unique 1903 brass and enamel inkwell designed by Theo Nieuwenhuys (Dutch, 1866 -1951) and made for a Dutch gentleman, Mr F.J. Kranenburg (1870-1949)
Very rare Dutch Art Nouveau inkwell, polychrome enamel decoration of with four- leave clovers amongst signs of the zodiac. Marked on the front with the arms of Amsterdam, on one side the intials FK and the other side 1903. High 15 cm x 21.5 cm x 35 cm wide (high 5.9in x 8.5in x 13 ¾in wide)
