Meet our member: Anneke Hohmann
Harbors, steel constructions, industrial sites, the line-play of building materials and travel impressions are a starting point for her work. Daily life, colors from magazines, books, music and TV influence the workflow. Her paintings, which look abstract, are the result of a search from visible reality to the essence, the exciting balance between lines and faces, linked with an emotion. The mixed technique: acrylic paint, ink, charcoal, collage, gypsum and cement arises during the work process and gives a layered view.
What matters is not what a painting means but what emerges from the process in producing it.
